Enhanced Report Filtering and Control Management

devtodev enhanced control management

Meet our latest updates that will expand your capabilities for comprehensive app data analytics! These improvements are designed to expand report filtering options and speed up the process of changing default values within the Control Management section of devtodev.

Unified Control for Report Filters and SQL Variables

Users now have more flexible filtering options for Basic Metrics, Retention, SQL, and other reports, no longer limited to a common date filter.

Now, you can apply filters by date range as well as country, language, payment status, channels, and campaign. For example, you can filter a dashboard to analyze the behavior of paying users who arrived via paid traffic from specific countries (let’s say, the United States and the United Kingdom). This enhancement allows for more detailed and targeted analysis.

To set up a new control for your dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Control Management section of your dashboard.

  2. Name the control.

  3. Select the control type.

  4. Specify the widgets that will be linked to this control.

  5. Save your settings.

Once saved, you can easily adjust these controls on your dashboard and apply them to the linked widgets.

Simplified Default Variable Change in Control Management

Without stopping at enhancing the filtering options, we have taken the next step to further improve the Control Management panel.

With this update, you can change the default value for the dashboard variable directly in Control Management. Now you no longer need to go back to the dashboard, find the widget, open it in the report, adjust the variable value, and save it again.

  2. Select the control.

  3. Change the default value for the dashboard variable.

  4. Save your settings.

These updates will significantly improve the flexibility of working with data, and make it easier for you to gain valuable information from your dashboards.
